BUG: "About Me" text will not update

I posted about this before, and I recieved no help. Here's my problem:

When I go into preferences, in the "About me" section where you enter text about yourself near the bottom, also titled "About me", I am unable to change the text contained therein. I've been unable to change it for almost a month now. When I attempt to do so, and click "apply changes", the screen resets to the top, and the text is unchanged.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"I've been playing games for a long time. I own all 3 next-gen systems, you could say I'm passionate about games. I also love reading/writing about games, thus my GameSpot addiction! If you ever want to talk about games, hit me up."

Pretty simple. I tried rewording it a few times, figuring there could be a bug with one of my words, but I got the same result.

Alright, I just tried to put it in manually. Give it a bit and see if it updates properly.

Looks like it worked. Any idea why I couldn't change it myself? Anyway, thank you for the help.

Unfortunately, I don't. If this is happening to a lot of people then someone will have to look into a fix.

It is happening to me too. It's not necessary for you to manually update it - I just thought I'd let you know I was having problems as well.

This has been happening to me also, I guess I'll post what I've been trying to put in there, and see if you can manually update it.

The reason I was able to help the last user is because there was something already in that area. Since you have nothing in that area I don't even get the option to edit it.

It may be worth noting that the same glitch appears to be affecting the about games collection boxes as well, making it impossible for users to edit them for the time being.robbristow

I'm afraid I'm experiencing a certain glitch dealing with the "About Me" section,as well.Whenever I click "Yes" to allowing certain info. to be shown (name,birthday,state,country,etc.),it won't change anything.:?VGobbsesser

i am having the same issue and now whatever I did have displayed before is also set to no and won't change

Ugh,now this glitch is affecting site skins.:( Can't switch it back to what skin I was originally using on Gamespot.I miss surfing Gamespot in Ice Blue.>_>

Is this still a bug people are experiencing because i tried it and it works fine for me. I took some pictures to show you.
