I've been getting this message "An error occurred when posting your comment" whenever I try to reply to a comment in the comment section. I'm able to post comments, but just cannot reply. Anyone else having the same issue or is it just me? Anyone know a fix?

Same here. I can't post ANY answers in the comment section of articles, or I'll have the same message. I have this problem since I signed in (like 3 weeks ago). It's getting really annoying :/

(I can post messages. Just no "answers")

Of course I deactivated both Adblock and Ghostery, so nothing seems to interfere... I tried with Firefox but funny thing : I can't even log in ! Gosh I'm starting to wonder if Gamespot has been tested at all...

@deho_edeba: This sounds like the same issue we're tracking over here: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/bug-reporting-feedback-1000006/the-csrf-token-is-invalid-please-try-to-resubmit-t-31867292/#70 . We haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet, but we're working on it!

Same here. I've tried so many times to reply to a comment that actually wanted me to reply. I added a comment, it added then was gone. I can't tell if I should try again or give up.

Did anyone ever find a solution to this? I've tried it across 3 different browsers with and without extensions enabled with no luck.

This is happening for me too, months after the first post in this thread. Extensions are disabled and it still doesn't work. I'm using Chrome. Sometimes the comments won't even load in the first place. What a waste of my time creating an account here.

If your default sort is by Upvotes, there's a bug we have fixed already and that fix will go out on Thursday Feb 11th.

Happening to me as well. I can't post if done by upvotes, but I can't go to next page of comments they never load either. On any browser. Weird.

I'm also having this issue. Multiple browsers, no plugins. Is there a solution to this, or should I just go elsewhere for gaming news and discussion?

This kind of thing is often caused by an ad-blocker or some extension that modifies our HTML. Anything that does that will prevent you from posting content in many cases. Also if you're using anything other than an up to date, mainstream web browser this could happen. This particular error 100% means the HTML we sent your browser get changed in some way by something. In the past, when this thread was created, it did mean other things but now its 100% HTML modification.

Having this issue myself and I am on Chrome, all extensions disabled and still the issue... as many others in this thread have said and pointed out. I can't even modify my original comment. Don't blame the users if lots of users are still having the issues even when doing it the way you guys say w/ the mainstream browser (unless Chrome isn't mainstream enough for you guys) and no extensions.

That's great, edge, but most everybody in here said they are running clean, up-to-date browsers (including myself).

Just got on this website and was pretty excited to start commenting on people's stuff, and kept wondering why no one else seemed to be doing this.. Now I know. Not working for me on ANY posts. And I've tried from my phone as well as desktop.

Same problem has returned. I cant post comments but I can reply to other's comments. I use the most up to date IE... so this is your site. All I wanted to do was compliment Mr. Crossley on his most recent article. The rest of you can learn a lot from him.

@straightcur: We released some code today that should give better error messages - please let us know if you're still getting errors and what they're saying now. Thanks!

@wemmick: Where are these better error messages? Still the same ol' "Invalid CSRF token, please try resubmitting the form". Not helpful at all, especially when resubmitting has the same error over and over. Shouldn't the goal be to eliminate errors?

This time it was for the "No Man's Sky delay article"

@straightcur: Well, I guess we didn't catch all the edge cases here... we'll dig back in.
