Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is a great remake of the first game in the series. (A game that was only released in Japan and starred Prince Marth) There are many new features in this game. The most notable feature is the ability to change the class of most characters(pretty every character except for the special ones whose levels go up to lv. 30). You can use this feature to make a balanced squad. If you don't like any of the knights, you can change the class of a character that you do like to knight. Something else is new about this game: The weapon levels go from E to A and there aren't separate weapon levels for dark, light, or elemental magic tomes. While this may disappoint some people, it is a simpler( & better, in my opinion) system than the one used in FE: POR and FE: RD. There are a few new classes like ballisticians, units that use siege weapons to attack from afar. This game is a hard game for beginners because of limited healing items and weaker healing staffs and weapon triangle hit/dodge percentage bonuses. The weapon Triangle is still significant because the damage bonuses are greater. It is a great game for the D.S. and a good installment in the Fire Emblem series.
