A great strategy game. Don't just look at GameSpot's score, look at everyone elses, too, then decide.

User Rating: 8.5 | Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn WII
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is one of the American versions of the entire Fire Emblem series. It is a turn based strategy game in which you control and build up an army that fits your play style. Turns go: all your units, end, all enemy units, end. A variety of units make this an intense strategy game. The game previous to it is Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. In these two versions, you play as Ike, son of the founder of a group of mercenaries called the "Greil Mercenaries." ("Greil" being his father's name.) I won't spoil PoR in this review, but if you want a good plot, you might want to buy PoR. This games plot is hard to understand without it. In the beginning of this game you start playing as Micahiah, a member of a group called the "Dawn Brigade." They are trying to liberate their country, known as Daien. Later you will play as Ike again, in a twisting plot, that's all I will say.

Now, let's get down to the ratings. Starting with:
Music: 9.5/10. I'm not sure if you have heard of this, but the fire emblem series is known for its music. This game hold's up the music's reputation. I find music to be purely opinion, one who finds a soundtrack godly, another may find it terrible. But I think you will be pleased with it.

Plot: 8.5/10 I think the plot is pretty dang good, kind of geeky, a few twists, but good. You might need to play PoR to understand RD.

Graphics: 7.25/10. Although the graphics are far from godly, they aren't terrible. They are average, maybe just a bit below. But there are some story clips and cut scenes that are awesome. If I was rating on just those, it would be 9.75/10.

Gameplay: 9/10 I found no problem with the controls. I guess it took like half a day to get used to wii remote controls, but that's because I am used to playing with the GameCube remote. As for the difficulty, it is a challenging game, but I think anyone can beat it on easy with a little thought and and effort. Medium will challenge, but is not unbeatable. Hard is... hard. That is for a person looking for a HARD challenge. So don't worry, easy is for anyone. And as for the games setup, it's pretty good. The game play involves a little chance, but it is a good blend with the strategy. For example having a unit stand in a shrub will increase the chance of your unit dodging the hit. The chance part is not enough influence to the game to be considered a "luck" game. Trust me, that is FAR from it. And this game has a lot to do with play style. Do you like a lot of mages, or the direct, physical approach? Beorc (humans), or laguz (Beast men)? No matter what, you have enough units provided to completely support your play style. Although some units are better than others, it is all you, no matter what. You will always benefit. There are so many units to choose from, you will never have to change your play style.

Overall Results:
Plot: 8.5/10 15%
Music: 9.5/10 15%
Graphics: 7.25/10 20% (Cut scenes are really good, however, in graphics)
Game play: 9/10 50%
