A little late, but better late then never: The game's not too bad, but it'll be a hard face to love if you're not a mom.

User Rating: 6.5 | Final Fantasy XIV Online PC
First and foremost: Yes, when compared to the other Final Fantasy games in the regular series, and most importantly, Final Fantasy XI, this game doesn't hold a candle. However, by itself, the game can be enjoyable, but under a few conditions:

Love heavy experience grinding
Like waiting for parties for higher end experience grinding (Dodo parties, etc.)
Like not playing it more than about 30 minutes to an hour a day if you want to go straight to the top, you hardcore gamer, you.

No, I'm not going to call it garbage because a lot of the systems put in place such a guildleves, rapid class switching and leveling as a crafter/gatherer, rather than as a fighter, were all incredibly innovative, but in most cases the gamer-end drive or appeal was low. This is, mostly likely due to the lack of foundation to these systems.

Bottom line, it could have been better if they had spent more time on it, but what can you do.

Graphics: 10, the cinematic scenes were incredible, as was actual graphics on game-play.
Sound:7.5, pretty standard sound.
Game-play: 2.5, I am disappoint. The heart and soul was there, but the body was absent.
