Am I missing something there?
So, why is this game legendary and still so popular today? The only thing I like about it is the music that is played after every battle LOL it's really cool, but everything else in this game is mediocre at best. I don't get it. Is it legendary because it was the first to have 3d characters? But they look terrible, ugly and hurt my eyes.
I have a theory that it is legendary because it plays like adventure, maybe console gamers didn't have adventures till then and that's why FFVII blew their minds? But sorry - adventures had been on pc forever and was probably the biggest genre on pc in early to mid 90s.
Maybe I have to play more but I've played like 3 hours at least, how long I have to play till it takes off? Story is nothing special so far, greenpeace terrorists blowing up factories bs whatever. Characters are nothing special. As I said, mediocre at best.
Anyway I started playing FF IX yesterday and what a wonderful game that is, I played 3 hours straight and wanted more, and that happens rarely with me.
