Final Fantasy VII robbed me of my social life.

User Rating: 9.3 | Final Fantasy VII PS
The Good:
-An engaging, well thought out story with memorable, unique characters. Seriously, the plot is what kept me playing this game. I was never into turn-based combat, but this game kept me going.
-You'll get at least 40 hours out of this game, and that's without doing all the extra stuff, such as commanding armies and breeding chocobos.
-The music fits the tone of the story great.

The Bad:
-Because of the nature of Final Fantasy, some things just seem...awkward. For example, if one of my allies die in battle, they are still alive in the cutscenes. And if I can automatically bring any of them back to life, why couldn't I do the same to Aeris? This is just the nature of Final Fantasy, and some people may be turned away by it. I, however, was not.
-Not a whole lot of sound effects, and some music gets a little annoying.
-I don't see why the graphics were so great. I mean, I know it's 1997, but I've been better from that era.
-At the end you have several boss fights, and if you blow one, you have to do them all over again...not cool.

Whoa, I made this game look bad. But folks, I would buy a Playstation just so I could play this game. It's not perfect, but it's still astounding. This is my first Final Fantasy game and I assure you it won't be my last. I'm only sorry it took me this long to get into it.
