With the return of out favorite characters and some great action this movie is for the fans only.
The game FFVII that came out in 1997 hit the top of the sales charts and still remains as the most popular video game out there. People for years have wanted a remake, movie, etc. Finally Advent Children was introduced to the fans. The excitement and hype went up at lightining speed and fans were already talking what this could be about, who we'll see, and more. Finally in 2006, AC came out on DVD and PSP. After all the hype, satisfaction came. The movie has a majority of strong points and pleased the fans eaisily. As expected, the visuals where amazing and wonderful to look at. But amazingly, not only were the visuals good, the action was so fast and crazy that any anime or manga fan could immediately enjoy the instense sword, gun, and fist fights. With camera views that never could be done in real life and awesome scenes of manga-style fights mixed into one entertaining action movie.
Nobuo Uematsu has shown his talents for years through all of the Final Fantasy games he even made a harder impact with this movie. With the perfect mix of orchestra and rock created some nice moods and tones through which everybody could remember.
Strangely, for the fans, this movie seems to make fans want to watch it over and over again. It's almost a mystery why, is it the visuals? Is it the sound? Is the characters? No one will ever know.
The only slight let down though was the story. Or more like where the story led them. While the story is definetely worthy of the FFVII world it didn't really led them to any more places than near Midgar from the game. It would have been nice to see more of an adventure through the story.
But overall this movie will please all fans and last them for a while.
