The best yet... At the time of writing, I am reflecting back upon my original experience with Final Fantasy Tactics. As one of the few, rare games that I wish I could erase my memory again to play it for the first time, it also stands as my ultimate favorite. This game defined a time for me when I thought gaming wasn't going to change much, which may attest for one of the reasons I enjoyed it so. As with most Final Fantasy games, FFT has a rich, deep story, but this installment takes it yet to the next level. The depth in the history of this game's background and story allow it to define a world in a way that most games can't touch. Many games have come to resemble the "job system" this game utilizes, including some of the Final Fantasy games out today (FFXI, FFX-2, etc.). It goes without saying that FFT was a defining game in the series, but stands worlds apart, ruling its own realm. I can still play this game today with nearly the same level of enjoyment; FFT is like a fine wine, so I encourage you to taste it.
