When I started this game, I had no clue what I was in for. I think that's why I like it so much. It has the style and 'grand' scale of the then-Squaresoft games, but it's very much a game to itself in more ways than 3. It's very complex, but the interface is pretty user-friendly. There are many "classes" that can be chosen and worked on to customize each unit, from knights and black mages to archers and ninjas. Each class has its own specialty, weakness and overall coolness to them. If a unit falls in battle besides the main characters they're gone for keeps, which adds a sense of importance to every character worked on so long to level up and customize.

If you like Final Fantasy games and you don't mind a difference in games, this game is one that needs to be played by almost every gamer...and even chess players.
