Does great in everything, and the final fantasy them just makes it that much better.

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy Tactics Advance GBA
If you've ever played Tactics Ogre on the GBA, you might know what to expect, as this game was developed by many of the people who made that game. The story follows the story of a boy named Marche who, after finding a mysterious book, finds himself in an imaginary world filled with bangaas(lizard-like creatures), vieras(sort of a mix between a human and a rabbit), nu mous( Think Eeore from Winnie the Pooh), and of course moogles and humans. All of These races all have a ton of different classes to choose from as you level them up, also changing their look. The story of this game is usually criticized in this game for usually being too simple. I liked it, though, because you understand how Marche feels about going home. and all the characters were really likeable, like Montblanc, Marche's closest companion he meets as soon as he gets there.

What really makes this game stand out is the final fantasy theme. You'll recognize many of the monsters, swords, and even summons from the previous games. The game also has a great difficulty level, It's very easy to keep your character's at all the same level and never feels frustrating. Combine this with an amazing ability-learning system, and the game gets extremely addictive. There are over 300 missions in the game, with the sidequests easily outnumbering the actual story mode missions.

On the bad side, A lot of these 300 missions are ones where all you have to do is constantly go back in forth on the world map, to pass days in the in-game clock, which completes missions. You do get ability points, though, and you can do other thinks while one of your characters is on a mission.
Another thing with the game is that certain class types, well, just plain suck in a certain stat. The bangaa class can change to a class that uses magic, because all bangaas are naturally bad at magic. Some of the classes for other reasons are pretty much useless, too. And once your characters reach level 30, which is on average shortly after you beat the game, it takes forever for your characters to level up.

All in all it's an amazing game that's the perfect difficulty all the way through, contains over 50 hours of addictive gameplay, and has that final fantasy theme that you constantly see references to during gameplay.
