FF9: A must play game for rpg fans everywhere. A good start for new final fantasy fans as well.

First of all, i think that ff9 is way underated. I don't know why everybody doesn't like it as much as the rest. I would rate ff9 at least a 9.0, and here's why... The characters are great. You have Zidane, Vivi(my favorite), Garnet, Steiner, Beatrix, Freya, Quina, ect ect. They are made almost flawlessly. The way each character interacts with each other is pretty cool, and funny sometimes. The graphics are overall really good, the cutscenes in particular. When you have Bahamut as the main aeon enemy, you are bound to see some pretty cool cut-scenes. My favorite was when Bahumut gets destroyed by the Angel, but you won't see this towards the end of the game. The gamplay was very good as well. I didn't have any trouble finding out where to go next. I think this game was one of the easier final fantasys, but it was great gameplay none the less. I think it was my favorite battle system of all. You could get team moves, like combining vivi's magic with steiners sword, you get some cool attacks. It's just overall a well constructed battle system, nothing is confusing. This is a great game for people new to the final fantasy series, or new to rpgs in general, since it isn't that hard to beat, and once you get into it, you get out until you finish the 4th disc! The game doesn't take very long to beat, for a final fantasy that is. It took me just over 40 hours to beat, but my guys were in the mid 60 levels, and i got a lot of equipment. Dep on how complete you want to beat it, i guess it takes 30-60 hours to beat. I think this game is a great buy, if you can find it. Any final fantasy fan who hasen't played this one, should definitely go to their nearest gaming store and get their hands on this SUPERB rpg.
