Probably my least favorite Final Fantasy.

First, let me put this out there: I love Final Fantasy. And I have nothing against the 2D ones: I love them all except for this one. The gameplay was never very good, and I find the leveling system to be terrible. This game eschews the traditional experience points in favor of a more chaotic system: the more you use something, the better you are with it. This basically means if you attack a lot, you get stronger. If you cast a lot of spells, you are going to get better at magic. This wouldn't be so bad if the plot was good, but it's simple and boring. After all, this is an early Final Fantasy. Now, here's the worst part: why is Square-Enix releasing this on PSP by itself? The game is bad, and all this does is make a few improvements, mainly in terms of graphics. This game is a waste of money. If you really want to buy it, buy Dawn of Souls on GBA. At least there you get a good game with it to make up for this one.
