Fight Night Round 2 is the second game in the Fight Night series. and it is possibly the best boxing game to be released. last year, Fight Night 2004 totally revolutionized the boxing genre with Total Punch Control, using the analog sticks to control your blocking and punching. and, it's back in Round 2 and is still the same good old analog punching the first Fight Night had. the main feature is the career mode. first, you create a character which, the create-a-boxer system is good and at the same time creepy. you could create freaks of nature, if im allowed to call them that, as your boxers. not that that's bad. the create-a-boxer feature is very solid. however, some people might be frightened by it due to the fact that you can morph your boxer's head to freaky lengths. you can make your boxers head huge or very small. that's all good, but at the same time it's really creepy. the Career mode is really, really deep. you fight amateur fights and whenever you're ready, you can jump to the pros, and fight for titles in different weight classes, buy stuff for your fighter, all sorts of stuff. the in game graphics are really well done. EA Sports totally stepped up the graphics in Round 2 from the first Fight Night. the faces over the later rounds have bleeding, lots of swelling and all sorts of stuff that actually makes you wanna watch the replays. the new Cutman feature is also neat, in the sense that it lets you heal your fighter over the course of the fight. you can reduce swelling and even heal cuts. the announcing is good, but is a little repetitive. overall, this game is a marked improvment over Fight Night 2004. this game will rock you like an uppercut to the jaw! uhh!
