Looks Good... but AI is shaky.
For years now EA has failed at developing a realistic system that penalizes button mashers for one... and also inflicting the proper damage to an opponent his getting schooled. There is no way your opponent after being knocked down 3 times in a round gets up with MORE health and stamina than YOU!!! WTF EA!!! If you can get over the dumb AI in this game... you can have some fun slugging it out with your friends "Rock em Sock em Robot" style. But those looking for realistic boxing that REWARDS smart fighting... you're out of luck and will be frustrated. Like many EA sports games... they are dumbed down to appeal to everyone.
In the end FN Champions is a decent game with a cool story mode.... but overall it could be so much better if the AI... MADE SENSE!!! Here's a free tip EA for the next game. The guy losing the fight... also is losing the battle of health and stamina. Obviously these devs have never been in a real fight. Because they'd know getting hit and hurt drains EVERYTHING out of you!
