Alright, how to start? First, when i play this game i can feel that EA make it more slowly-paced and more like a simulation with all those new animations and stuffs and i was happy because i like slow-paced game...but i was wrong. There are so many flaws in this game and i have to make a list about it:
1. The ball-trapping. The ball flies everywhere every time you pass it to your other player its so frustrating and its results in a change in possession almost every time because the AI defense is so tight in this game. And every time when they trap the ball they stop there for around 1 second for who knows what, resulting in easy possession giveaway almost every time.
2. The dribble. Every single player dribbles the ball like an amateur. Why? They kick the ball so far away from them and it is very difficult to not to get tackled by the opposition, its so unrealistic.
3. The passing. The ball bounces a lot when passing. The directory of the ball is somewhat inconsistent. The ball goes to the other player and not the one that i was targeting.
4. The super-congested midfield. Every time i have the ball in midfield its so hard to breakthrough the opposition because the midfield is so congested. One time i had the ball in midfield and immediately 4 AI came to surround me. The funny thing is below.
5. Dumb AI movement. Our own AI in this game is so relaxed. They hardly move around, trying to create space or make runs when on the offense. This in conjunction with the tight midfield is a disaster. Almost every time i got my ball tackled away in midfield due to this imbalance setup.
It is still a good FIFA game no doubt. They have to work more on the game to figure out the right balance as they are switching it to a more simulation style of football. If not, you have a good example and i am saying PES.
