So dissapointed that the "J" video isn't 1 minute and 17 seconds long. Missed opportunity.
@jma1024x not that I own a wii but I'm curious as to how nintendo failed to make online console multiplayer games popular? when I think of nintendo games almost all of them cater for offline(solo?) play so what exactly did they fail with? the whole "failing" seems like a gross exaggeration especially as i think the wii sold more than the ps3 and 360 put together. I don't know how you can be so sure that console online games would not have succeeded without it (especially given massive games like COD BF killzone and thats just naming the fps) are still massive, AT MOST you could say XBL MIGHT not have been where it is now without halo but even that is pretty speculative and to say it influenced online fps is a bit much too given that huge games like quake arena, unreal tournament and counter strike came before it. halo's a solid and good game but I'm not sure it did what people here are giving it credit for. i own an xbox btw =) (just incase i get flamed)
@hePurpleBubble If you don't like Xbox or Halo why are you here, to start an argument? stop hating
If it weren't for Halo, online CONSOLE multiplayer games probably wouldn't be that popular. Nintendo had their chance and failed. Microsoft went for it, and has found success.
@cbthedog Xbox fanboys probably don't have an intricate knowledge of your store's return policy.
The revolutionary game
to be honest if it wasnt for halo xbox and online multiplayer would be dead. Thank you halo
Halo 3 had the best ending IF you managed to watch the real Legendary Ending. And please put an end on the flood.
Uh... okay?
@zukiyama, cuz all the Xbox players r probably gonna be on this page haha
@cbthedog how is this a good place to ask this? LOL. well, they should give u a full refund however check with your store first.
I figured this would be a good place to ask this. Okay so I bought an Xbox 360, brand new, a few weeks ago from GameStop. I don't like it. I'm not going into detail, because fanboys will eat me alive, I just don't like it. I want a PS3. My Xbox 360 is still under the 30 day warrantee, so can I return it and get the full price I paid for it back?
the level of need for halo 4 just went up
Didn't their creative director quit?
Halo Anniversary was a good practice run for 343. It helped them get their feet wet and reafied the team to make Halo 4. I think they did a great job amd made the right choices in order to meet their schedudled anniversary release date. Good job, 343.
@wcwj26 There are a good amount of people at 343i who are former Bungie employes.
@COLDFIRE25 No! Its NOT mostly made up of Bungie. They left to make up there own company!
I believe the posters on here that said Jun is alive are right. I also believe he survived Reach and maybe a few others we have not met yet. It is interesting that the back side narrative on Anniversary says that John is believed to be one of the last surviving members of the Spartans. I read that as inconclusive. If John was the last Spartan, it would say that, but instead it says he is one of the last. I think we will see other Spartans in the new story arc.
This was interesting. Especially the part about one of the Noble team members surviving. Im betting Jun, you really didnt see him die...
this makes me want to play halo again
HALO!!!!!!:( its been too long
@usermikey John-117 would be this fairly insignificant and irrelevant character called THE MASTER CHIEF.
R should of been for red vs blue...
@diabolik_023 EPIC, you said it. thats the Exact word!
@leoansa2 , hell YES , you are right ! sweeeet game , i would buy a 360 just for the halo games and story , just EPIC !
Great guide! every time i see something about Halo, I remember the final part of Reach.....amazing game
@Ceadre Shut up man!
I believe I almost heard someone blurt out Mjolnir Mark VII!

Really nice :D.
I bet, jun survived reach. and will be making a cameo in halo 4
@community: what exactly is John -117? I love bees? i don't remember actual bees. -appreciate your help clarifying

Well this was kind of pointless. Then again, the whole franchise has become kind of pointless. I love halo just as much as anyone, but they should have ended it after Halo 3.
@xboxfanonly halopedian has a ton of info on the subject. Carter is 32, he was one of the first Spartan-IIIs which was started in 2531 making him 11 when he was drafted. Noble Team was under the command of the UNSC Army while the Spartan program is part of the UNSC Navy so it's entirely plausible that Noble was marked MIA to the Navy but secretly working for the Army. Again it's a pretty massive plot hole that 343 has yet to explain but Noble was a Spec Ops team so it's likely that their existence was on a 'need to know' basis.
I remember all of that. No need for 80 updates on my inbox...
lmao modern warfare 2 ending? youre kidding right? the greatest ending in video game history is grim fandango ending...
@m2rg Portal 2 ending is the most epic i can think of

Love Halo, I wonder why they don't make a movie about it I'm mean a Hollywood movie..
30 seconds is not enough.
@S-181 Halo: Combat Evolved review http://www.gamespot.com/halo/platform/xbox?tag=masthead;search
this is all great, but where is the review???
I'm gonna call it: the Chief bumps into Jorge over the course of Halo 4.
@baystatethrashr Well, they cant be spartan 3s do to how old they look. Last time i checked spatan 3s are no older than 18 id say and carter and jun look pretty older than that. But i guess with all those inhancements they look alot older, i read the ghosts of onyx, and as far as it goes is that it is top secret. So, i asume thats what you mean by "it's a plot hole they have yet to fill", please explain what you mean by this and where can i find this information at?
nice i like halo
Haven't read the book yet but i plan to.
ah halo, ill be with you til the end, even if you suck *cough* halo 2*cough*. but seriously though....til the end
@xboxfanonly No it's stated multiple times that the rest of Noble team are Spartan-III's, it's a plot hole they have yet to fill. The only Spartan I (also known as project orion) that you see in the games is Sgt. Johnson.
