Mega Man looks like he had to let his suit out a little, legendary. Cool cards tho, too bad my wife is in the bed cuddling with a stuffy or I'd show her these now. She loves cute stuff like this.
Nothing says "I love you" like a boost combo launcher into a supercharged fireball! Yeah, you heard me.
Having trouble figuring out what to get that special someone for Valentine's Day? You're not? You planned that out months ago? Well, la dee da Mr. or Ms. I-have-a-fancy-planner-schedule-thing. For everyone else--let GameSpot help you out with these handy Street Fighter X Tekken Valentine's Day cards made by our own team of card ninjas! If we're right (and quite honestly, I can't think of a time when GameSpot has been wrong), the person receiving one of these cards will be so overjoyed that you equate your relationship with fictional video game characters from a fighting game. Also, your recipient will be completely overwhelmed by the symbolism of combatants taking time out of beating the crap out of each other to say, "Hey, you know something? You're pretty awesome!" Right? If that doesn't say love then flowers, a pizza, or maybe one of those basketball hoops that floats in a pool will probably do just fine.
Be sure to click character names to see these duos in action.
Bob and Rufus
Poison and Hugo
Zangief and Kuma
Guile and Paul
Ibuki and Raven
Juri and Kazuya
Lili and Vega
These are freaking awesome. If I had kids, I'd save these and make copies for them to bring to school to give to their classmates :)
But anyways I don't think it matters, This was a long time ago when games couldn't get away with half of what they can now. Obviously a woman in a fighting game isn't a big concern now, so there's no need for Capcom to say Poison is a tranny anymore, as it was never important to her story, and was only said to avoid controversy.
-From wikipedia Originally conceived as a female thug in Final Fight and part of the game's antagonist group, Mad Gear, concerns about reactions from North American audiences to fighting women resulted in the character being changed to a newhalf.( futa)
vergil_lives: Wrong... sorry to say. Poison is a man, or was, depending on how you look at it. In Japan she is definitely NOT considered a woman, at least not any more: "Street Fighter IV's producer Yoshinori Ono, when asked in an interview about the matter, stated "Let's set the record straight: in North America, Poison is officially a post-op transsexual. But in Japan, she simply tucks her business away to look female." Anyways, back to the topic at hand: These cards are hilarious!
Poison is a woman! The Japanese creators only called her a transsexual for the uptight feminist that couldn't handle a woman getting slapped around in a video game. In Japan she is considered a woman. She's completely female, so no need to feel guilty about admiring her beauty
@dr_jashugan : You know she's a transexual right? I'm not trolling you, it's serious, Poison is a man.
Am I the only one who thinks putting the fat megaman is fun? I mean, it wasn't smart, they could have put the normal megaman X, and then they would have feeded on the wallets of millions of megaman's fans around there, but the fat man is so funny. Anyway, I will aways be crazy for Juri.
@DarthLod Finally someone with common sense. Why wait for one specific day to show love? You have every f_cking day of the year.
I don't care much for these "new" Street Fighter-characters... I'm totally old-school, and prefer the old ones from World Warrior(?), 8 characters (12 including Balrog, Sagat, Vega and M. Bison). Where did Blanka go?
i sent em all to my friends and the vigga and lilli card sent em to a girl i like worked like a charm :}
