When does the PlayStation Vita come out in Southeast Asia?

The Vita launches in Southeast Asia on February 22, which is this Wednesday. The console is already out in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and North America.

Where can I buy the Vita in Southeast Asia?

Sony revealed that it will only launch the Vita "across national specialist game and specialist technology retailers." The reason for this, according to Sony, is that the intended target market for the console is "active" gamers; however, the publisher did state that as with the PlayStation 3, it anticipates that it will eventually broaden the channels of distribution for the Vita in the future.

The list of retailers in Singapore are as follows: major Sony Store outlets, major Sony Center outlets, major HMV outlets, G3 Interactive, major Best Denki outlets, Gaming World, Gamescore, Scenic Multimedia, Funzcentre, and Uptron.

How much is it?

The device will sell for S$399 in Singapore. Bundles include the Sony Value pack and Software Bundle pack. The first value pack comes with the PS Vita, a copy of Uncharted: Golden Abyss (English version with Chinese subtitle options), a 4GB Vita memory card, and an accessory pack. The second value pack replaces Uncharted: GA with Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (the English voice version). The former pack costs S$499 ($400), while the latter costs S$489 ($392).

The Software Bundle pack contains the same things, but without the accessory pack. The bundle with Uncharted: GA costs S$479 ($384), while the bundle with Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus costs S$469 ($376).

What are the 3G pricing plans for the Vita?

There isn't any at the moment. Sony HK has yet to make any announcement concerning the 3G version of the Vita.

Gamers in Asia are able to purchase a PlayStation Vita accessory pack, which costs S$39.90 and contains a case, a protective screen film, a cleaning cloth, a card case, and a wrist strap. The proprietary memory cards available on February 22 are the 4GB version (S$27.90), 8GB version (S$39.90), 16GB (S$77.90), and 32GB version (S$129).

Other accessories on sale at launch are the USB cable (S$11.90), AC adapter (S$11.90), cradle (S$19.90), and in-ear headset (S$19.90).
