Kids will enjoy it, so why do people hate this game?

Yes, this isn't the best, most profound game I've ever played but why are people trashing it with low scores? It's good for what it is. A rental for casual gamers, Fantastic Four fans, and/or kids. It really is better than the first Fantastic Four game. Four friends can play together. (Unfortunately, they soon will hate you because of this "bad" game.) My kids ages 10 and 6 and I sat and played it for hours. It is easy and not very complex, but it moves fast. I liked and enjoyed the game, but there are better and deeper games out there that do the same thing. (X-men: Legends 1 & 2 and Ultimate Alliance)
