A new fresh idea, full review from someone who played all the MMOs the past two years.
The main things you are going to wonder is what items do I start crafting first from this huge list? Do I start on armor, weapons, or 1st aid? After just picking one I was wondering ok were do I find all this crap I need to make it with. Then after wondering around you realise there is quest givers that give simple quest for crafting and you can kind of get the idea on how the mechanics work. I must add they released a patch yesterday that added a second tutorial that helps further with beging crafting.
Now alot of debate came on are the graphics good or bad. In my honest opinion yes they are far from groundbreaking but its not horrible to look at. Since the devs of this game is a very small base I give them credit for doing there best. Really the most important part is game play however the graphics really are not that bad. The animations can sometimes be alittle weird, instead of fluid movements your toons feels alittle stiff.
What I thnk I really enjoy from this game it really breaks the trend from all the other MMOs that have came out. I have played WAR, WoW, Lotr, Aion, and CO and none of those is like this game at all. The leveling system in this game is slow, you gain xp from crafting and killing. However to hit each new level takes awhile. This may come from the tons of traveling ou end up doing but its no power leveling game. This is my 3rd day and im almost to level 5.
All and all I would recommend this game to someone looking for something new and doesnt need their hand held. If you are someone who has to have the best graphics and very very nit picky this isnt for you. It took me about 2 days to fully get what I was doing but the rewarding fealing of crafting your character is very cool. I could write about another page but Ill stop here, still tons more to go explore.
