Fable III doesn't capture the feel of what Fable was meant to be about.

User Rating: 6.5 | Fable III PC
Fable III pretty much sums up the meaning of a dead series. It's a shame for PC gamers who never had the chance to play Fable II but after playing Fable III, it just isn't as superior as it's original predecessor was.

Fable III, however, is known for it's mini games and side quests which makes up a lot for the horribly written story, keep in mind the main quest is also very short, and what made the game even worse was the second-half of the main quest.

The story is about you, a prince/princess, who is out to topple your brother's tyrannical regime and on the way you must find new allies to help you restore the throne to a hero. Along the way, you make God knows how many promises to almost everyone in Albion.

Fable III's decision making is such a poor effort to try and make the game feel like it's worth playing again but it is not. A great example of a game that uses this to the maximum is The Witcher 2. It's more replayable to see more than two decisions that could totally change the story plot instead of heading the same damn direction all the time.

So the first half of the game is the revolution and in the second half you become the king. Sounds good doesn't it? But it's NOT! You are suddenly told that a darkness is about to consume Albion and you need to raise 6.5 million coins in order to raise a super army to stop the darkness but you have to carry out daily duties where you can decide to do good or evil.

Each has it's consequences, if you do good, you'll lose money but if you do evil, you'll have enough money to save most of your people.

Oh did I mention? There's a projected casualty according to the amount of money you have. So if you have zero coins in your treasury, expect 6.6 million people to die. This half of the game is a pathetic attempt to make the player feel so excited about being king.

However, not all is bad in the game as you have tons of side quests to do and the interaction with NPCs allows you to make friends and even make a family.

Think twice before buying Fable III. Fable : The Lost Chapters still holds as the best in the series.
