Best F1 game till date but not quite what i expected
The pros :
The menu presentation is perfect.From the moment you start the game for the first time you will be taken to an interview-the start of your career!Career mode is OK but it could have been a lot better.Changing teams is fun and i suggest you join a big team(like ferrari) in your 4th season.Interviews are much appreciated.Grand prix mode is not so good.Yes,single race mode is excellent but the inability to create a single race during a championship sucks and you cannot see the tables.Time trial mode works well too.I will not be discusing multiplayer modes.My F1 is good as well.Gameplay is great.Graphics and sounds are awesome and pit lane action is nervy.Races are very intense.
The cons :
The new patch is very good and fixes most of the issues.Career mode is plain,grand prix mode sucks and you can listen to the game's soundtrack only in garage and that too by accelerating the time.There are no podium celebrations and post qualifying press conferences.In replay mode you can only see your own car.I wanted a replay mode which randomly changes from car to car based on incidents.There are rarely any mechanical failures and no safety car.Sometimes in pit lane your crew leaves you only after other cars have left and the patch has not fixed it either.
Nevertheless,F1 2010 is a great game.This was just a trial by Codemasters and i am sure that they will return next year with a perfect game.The patch has improved the game but a few problems still persist.
