F1 2010 is a total disappointment...

Since the day it was announced, many F1 fans had great expectations about the Codemaster`s F1 2010 Game. I was also convinced that the game would be awesome, because it was being developed for almost two years (since 2008).

The truth is, F1 2010 is a total disaster. Something what the developers from Codemasters said that it was going to be a revolution in the game simulation world, turned out to be a simple arcade racer. There`s not even a 1% of simulation in this game.

I was also expecting the TV Styles and cameras just like on the TV, but they`ve made their outlay. TV styles for rFactor came out in 2007, I think. How is it possible that Codemasters didn`t make them in their F1 2010 Game?

Also, the AI`s are pretty retarded. They move away when you try to overtake them, not showing a slightest aggression. In reality, it`s very difficult to overtake.

Game has many bugs too, like the one with the timing, but I hope they`ll fix it with a patch.

Graphics are great, I must say that. Tracks are very, very real. Rainy seasons are pretty fun to play, but also a bit arcade unfortunately. It`s somehow easy to drive even on the highest rain conditions.

All in all, F1 2010 isn`t a game for racing simulations fans. If you just want to have some fun racing with the AI`s, then buy it. Otherwise, it`s a waste of money. If you want a real F1 simulator, with decent graphics and with real physics, I recommend you the F1RFT 2010 Mod for rFactor. I guess we`ll still have to wait for a good F1 game that would please every sim racing fan.
