F-Zero GP Legend is one of my most favourite GBA games. If you like the F-Zero series then you will love this game.

User Rating: 8.2 | F-Zero: Falcon Densetsu GBA
F-Zero GP Legend follows the show. Each of the eight characters in the game have five races in their story. For example Rick's story has him trying to catch Zoda, while Jody's story has her trying to figure out who killed her brother. Some tasks are quite difficult, like trying kill all the other racers in one of Zoda's races. Others are just simple races around a course. Story mode is fun but the Grand Prix mode will probably be what F-Zero fans play the most.

The controls for this game are well set up, but you can change the controls in the option mode. The regular controls are.
A button is to accelerate.
B button is to Brake.
L button is to drift left.
R button is drift right.
R and L button at the same time to use a boost.
Left and Right D-Pad steer your machine.
Down D-Pad will safely land your machine when in the air.
I prefer to play this game on the GBA or GCN rather than SP or DS. You use the L and R buttons a lot, and I find the SP and DS hurt my hands a little when I have them like that for a long time.

The graphics are a big improvement from F-Zero and Maximum Velocity. The graphics simulate the 3D aspect a lot more than Maximum Velocity. The animations also demonstrate the 3D aspect when a machine is spinning. The only thing I didn't like were the explosions when your power meter is empty, it looked too flat.

The Sound effects of your machine are pretty much the same as other F-Zero games, like the boost and explosions. What I really like about this game is the music. The classic Big Blue and Mute City music is back, and sounds great. I also enjoy the music from the Port Town, Silence and Sand Ocean courses.

If you loved the other F-Zero games, or if you like the show get this game. Not only for good Graphics, Music and Gameplay, but for a free watch!

Also if you live in Canada and register this game at Nintendo you will get an F-Zero GP Legend watch, but only for the first 1000 people.
