The Eyepet makes you want to get down on the floor and interact with the console and TV.

I just bought the Eyepet yesterday for about $49.00 at our local retail store (I had to drive all the way to a nice downtown store to decide for myself whether to buy or not) and when I got home, had to see its fun factor first-hand. Since it's only been out for a short time and a relatively new PS3 title, I don't know of anybody who owns one and haven't really read the review(s) out there.

Frankly, if the game title isn't that good, then all my bets would be on the PS3 Eyetoy camera (its motion sense control and as anticipation for the Playstation ARC wand). So, no loses on this purchase. However, when I finally got the Eyepet hatching, I played for it for about an hour before deciding to move my LCD TV from the wall to a lower, more convenient location (on my TV shelf).

That being said, I really liked the Eyepet and would definitely play with it again. This coming from a 45-year old kid at heart. I am not really a hard-core gamer (as you can tell) and don't really play with PS3 for long periods of time but the Eyepet is a stunning display of console interactivity and novelty. It makes me want to stay in front of the TV and game console for longer periods. Truly a must-buy for anyone with kids.
