An interesting racing game.

Xtreme G is a futuristic racing game. You select from a group of futuristic bikes and select one that you would like to use. Each bike had their own specific stats (top speed, acceleration, turning, etc.) that made each of the bike unique. Some had good turning abilities, other bikes were good in combat, and some were good at going at high speeds. This game always gave you a challenge because of the enemy bike AI. The AI bikes would examine in each race how you race. If you fought the AI bikes, they would fight back, if you tried to get first all the time, the AI would try to stop you. Basically the enemy AI adapted to your racing ability, and as the courses and difficulty got harder the AI would get smarter. The game had a variety of courses to choose from and had two special bikes that could have been unlocked along with an extra course. (The two special bikes were the fastest in the game, the names of these bikes were Roach and Neon. In order to unlock them you had to come in first place at the end of the cup that you were playing.) To unlock Roach, you had to play a certain amount of racing circuits until it said you unlocked the Roach. To unlock Neon (to get this car is very tough) you had to play the last cup on the hardest difficulty setting. That was also how you would have to unlock the extra course. (Please PM me if how to unlock these bikes and extra course is incorrect so I can change it). One of my favorite things about this game was the music. It had a techno/rave type of music that was on every course. Each music track was different, each song blended well with each course and it added to the futuristic feeling of game. There was multiplayer modes in this game. There was racing modes and a battle mode. This area was ok, but not the best. Another thing about this racing game was that you could use a variety of weapons to destroy your enemies, or help you get closer to first place. The weapons ranged from mortars, missiles, flares, mines, ion cannons, warps, and many others. This game was very good, was a unique title to the N64, and was a fun game. If you have played this one then you would like XGRA or Xtreme G 3. Both of those games are good installments in the Xtreme G racing genre. But if you are a die hard fan of this series, this one is a definite must for fans of this series
