A game of yesteryear deserves a spot in any gamer's collection.

The first game I've played in terms of the racing genre...and in all honesty, what better way to start that genre off then to play a great racing game on a great game console?

Story: 1 (The story doesn't matter, I honestly cannot remember if there ever was one)
Graphics: 8.5 (The graphics were great in those days)
Music: 8 (The music fits the style and image of this futuristic game)
Controls: 10 (They all vary upon vehicle and customization, which makes the game all the more unique)
Sound: 7.5 (Decent, good, it's alright)

The story is basically racing and racing with futuristic motorcycles and with extremely fast racing, along with shooting, shielding, customization, and "IMMORTAL SPEED" (maybe not immortal, but almost as close).

The game-play is primarily a following of the varying racetracks. Many tracks are both long and swift, curved and ragged, twirled and even more ragged. Other challenges include the tournament, time trials, and other challenges to achieve high scores to unlock several items and other modes and vehicles. The game can be both difficult and even stressful at times, but that is only due to the style of the vehicle and area, but that can only be part of the thrills of this timeless game.

The game is a classic on the Nintendo 64, and should be played at least once, as Acclaim made a wonderful start to a wonderful racing series along with the rest of their roster. This is a game I recommend someone play at least once to at least see how good it is, and how much definition this game reserves.
