Nice graphics and music cannot overcome the fatal flaw of a needlessly and unbelievably slow pace.

User Rating: 5.5 | Exit X360
Exit is a double-edged sword. The game offers nice, bright, minimalistic graphics along with some catchy music. The real problem lies in the game's ridiculously slow paced movement of the characters. They move as if they have to go number 2 and are afraid that if they move too quickly they will loose control. Seriously, for a game that is obviously modeled after the original Prince of Persia's gameplay, it fails to measure up to its far superior predecessor. This problems is particularly irksome because the game has plenty of charm with its unique graphics, smart puzzles, whimsical story and enjoyable tunes. Every time I try to enjoy these positive aspects i end up feeling like I want to pull my arm off just to have something to throw at the TV because of the remarkably irritating gameplay. If they just sped up the animations (a lot), then the game could be saved. After playing the Xbox Live's remake of Prince of Persia, the differences between the two's character movements is like riding your favorite bike with lightning bolts on it and running through sand with sandals on. A patch could help this, but we all know that the developers will never do so. Oh and don't forget the most annoying sound bytes you've ever heard. They'll make you rather listen to a drunk 4 year old explain their favorite color instead of listening to the repetitive and poorly recorded complaints of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THE GAME. If you can stomach these two damning qualities, then by all means throw down some cash for what could have been a great game.
