Most fun I've had in PVP in a long time

Simply put, Evolve is just good fun. And as far has a FPS it is different from what I have played before and does require a lot of thought and strategy, yet at the same time it's just caotic fun. So usually when I play battlefield or CoD, I put little time in the campaign if any and then I find the mode I enjoy most and usually stick to that. Often an objective mode in which one team needs to destroy something while another needs to defend etc. That one mode can tie me over for quite some time. With Evolve it feels similar to that and yet vastly different. It's neat that the objective that needs to be destroyed is also another person defending himself or going on the offensive. The modes are great because if you want instant action you can play defend which starts the monster at full strength and basically forces an instant confrontation. Strategically you may have time to set up defenses, turrets, mines etc. and then if the monster flees you can make the choice to pursue or set defense up again. The other modes require thoughtful decisions as well. I have also, not once, played with friends or in a party. I have on,y played with random people. Yesterday, I think I experienced a win in every game I played with good strategy. The only unfortunate thing is i wish more people were micd. I think I only played in one match where everyone had a mic. That not only made the experience easier, but just more fun hearing live people react to the beast. In regards to unlocking hunters and monsters, ie the progression. I do look ahead and wish that I could use someone else that I don't have unlocked yet. But I don't mind it too much because it teaches me the techniques and strategies of all the hunters and I may have skipped a character I really like. Lastly, I really like how quick the games can be. A hunt can be about 15 minutes or as quick as 2. And then you jump back into another or move on. I really enjoy the pace cause I can get a few quick games in before needing to get back to life. In the end it is a fun, strategic game that is very immersive and enjoyable.
