GIMME SOME SUGAR BABY

Before I start this, I am a big fan of the Evil Dead series and Ash, played by the great Bruce Campbell, some of the greatest 1 liners came from this series and when I found ot Bruce had given his voice talents to the game, I had to have it.
I had heard no hype, I don't even remember any decent marketing, so to me, there was nothing to let me down. I enjoyed the 'making of' video, inserted on the disc as an extra, makes the trip all the more enjoyable. All I wanted was hear "GROOVY" and I got it. The sound was there, spooky voices in all speakers and eerie music, I have absolutely no problems with this.
I charged my way through the game, blasting zombies with a shotgun, beating the hell outta them with a spade, cherry bombs, enhanced weapons and to boot, Ash as stupid as in the movies, in the finale fight when the female hes trying to protect turns out to be the Demon, he still has no clue, right until she changes. Fantastic.
I could spend along time reviewing this, but it does come down to the question, would I enjoy it, even if I was not a fan of Bruce and Evil Dead? Hard for me to say, but it was down right bloody fun.
