Pure old fashion fun, with Bruce Campbell being a good laugh.

For those who have never heard of Mr Campbell listed up, he is one of the most underrated actors of the 80s, 90s and the 00s.

Here he provides the voice of Ash, his most famous character. In doing so he has given this game its uniqueness in that he provides the humour that livens the whole thing up past the C grade to the B grade.

The game is a marked improvement on its predecessor, the awful Hail to the king. It does this by ignoring it completely and changing the playing style from survival horror to being an all action romp in the vein of Army of Darkness the last film in the series so far.
It is reflected in the game play mechanics with what seems like hundreds of monsters up for the slaughter. Also because of the change in game type ammo is plentiful and the god awful limit on the chainsaw has been lifted.
This means that you can skewer a deadite on your chainsaw without worrying about running out of fuel.

Finally the Evil Dead games have become fun to play.

Graphically and sound wise it isn't the brightest card in the pack with basic visuals to make way for large numbers of enemies and average sound and music signifying the lower budget of the game.
Once completed there are arcade style hack and slash arcade style scenarios to keep you going for a bit longer with their individual high scores to beat.

Overall its a fun game with a few flaws such as repetitive gameplay and average graphics and sound.
