Probably the hardest but also arguably one of the best games ever, in my opinion, Ecco the Dolphin is difficult to review. The Graphics and overall presentaiton are top notch and still good in 2005. The environments are large, diverse, interesting, and most often fun to explore. The missions you are sent on are also usually fun. The game runs into trouble though when you realize it is probably one of the hardest games ever. The missions also require you do be flawless in your execution but are almost always frustrating to the point where you will literally break things or just give up on the game. Little direction is given as well and the crystal shards scattered around give you only cryptic hints that are puzzles on their own to decipher. You would think then that the game would score low but it doesn't as everything else about this game keeps on drawing you back to beat that mission.
