EA Sports Active 2

I've been struggling for years with my weight, finding it difficult to keep a sustained weight loss, and losing patience when the weight isn't "dropping off" as I want it to.

So for me EA Sports Active 2 was a way to not just do what I love doing, play computer games, but also to get fit and hopefully lose some weight in the process.

Although I have only used it for three days, which is, I admit, much to early for a prognosis on how things are going, I must admit to being pleasantly surprised with just how addictive this is, but most importantly how fun it makes exercising.

You start the game by creating your avatar, and synching you monitors (one for the right leg, one for the right arm, and one for the left arm with the heart monitor). this is a very simple process and only takes a few seconds, your move controller should already be set up, although this is not really essential as you can navigate easily with a duelshock.

Once you have everything set up, and your avatar created you can go into the menu screen and can either choose a particular exercise regime, or go for one created by the trainer. I chose one from the trainer and got to work.

The nuts and bolts of it is simply to follow the on screen avatar, starting with the little warm up routine, through each of the individual exercises, you have a small intro video explaining what you need to do. One thing I would advise is to ensure you have enough room to move, or you'll end up bashing your hand on nearby furniture.

The exercises themselves are self explanatory as I say, and will test your fitness and stamina, you can adjust the setting depending on just how unfit you are (in my case very so easiest setting), to the more challenging, and it does really feel like a workout.

Sorry not a great review, but I wanted just to say how really good I think this is, and also how I do feel this will benefit those who are looking to EA Sports Active 2 to get them a little fitter and a little slimmer, although you may not see the benefits straight away you will feel like you've had a proper workout.
