E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial was a great movie but the game is one of, if not, the worst game in history!

User Rating: 1 | E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial 2600

My 26th review after Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

Atari, you need to take your time on your games!! Not rush them out for the Christmas season, OH MY GOD!!! That's the freakin' problem with E.T. for the Atari 2600. What were they thinking making this piece of junk based on the great movie directed by the legendary movie director Steven Spielberg, from movie studio Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment back in 1982? You play as E.T. and he's lost on earth and wants to get home. You need to help him build an interplanetary telephone to call for assistance before his energy runs out and beware of government agents and curious scientists who will sap E.T.'s precious energy before he reaches his goal. You have to find 3 phone pieces and held them on the ship and it sure is impossible to get out of the wells and they took away all your phone pieces and you have to try it again. This game I'm rating, OH it's definitely gonna get an F--. Here the results!!!

Game-play 1/10: It really is hard that the agents and scientists are faster than you that you have to start finding the phone pieces again if they catch you.

Graphics 1/10: Really awful! E.T. looks lime light green instead of brown, which is the color of him.

Controls 2/10: There's not much to say about the controls.

Sound/Music 1/10: The music from the title screen is very annoying, it doesn't sound anything like the movie.

Lasting Appeal 1/10: Overall, E.T. for the Atari 2600 is one of the worst games of all time along with Superman 64.

Overall, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial is one of the worst video game in history of video games, the movie is a whole lot better.

The Good:

-NOTHING at all! Destroying it is much better!

The Bad:

-There's a few more games like this

-Hard mission

-Game-play is what will make players cringe

-Awful graphics

Trust me, you will have fun destroying it other then playing it, I'm not lying. Just watch the movie instead. It's better than this piece of crud. That's the end of my review and I don't want to talk about this chicken crud anymore.

E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial on the Atari 2600 gets a 1 out of 10!
