The gameplay of Dynasty Warriors is truly fantastic, with amazing special effects and spectacular scenery. It has two main modes of gameplay, Musou mode and Free mode. Play through campaign in the many different levels in Musou, and choose any level to play through on Free mode. There are lots and lots of officers to play as including the ones you may unlock during gameplay, each with their own look, weapon and attack. Trust me when i say, it is hard to find the officer for you since there are so many. Take control of horses and elephants and ram into the enemy on them. Each level is cleverly split up into many different areas that you have to conquer individualy, some are heavily armed fortresses and some are a small wall of enemy forces. The graphics are superb, with the incredible blend of colours when performing a special attack or charging into a group of enemys. The sound has my highest rating, each map has its own unique tune that reminds you of the Chinese culture. The sounds are soothing when you have just come out of a battle and calm you down. If you have played the series on the PS2 then you might not be too interested in this, it is virtually the same as Dynasty Warriors 4 but without alot of the modes, items etc. I am not saying that it is not worth getting because i have had the series and still enjoy this very much.
