User Rating: 5.5 | Dungeons & Dragons Tactics PSP
Being a longtime D&D player, I had many skepticisms about D&D Tactics. And it turns out with good reason. The game uses the 3.5 rules, but much more strictly that you would see in any table-top D&D game. Which makes it feel very constraining for a video game. Menus abound, and not in a good way. The overall organization is not too great either. Battles are slow, take a long time, and whatever random number generator the game uses is the worst Ive ever seen. For a D&D video game, there is some enjoyment, as there are very few games that try to make the classic pen-and-paper game into digital format. But for a tactics game in general, it is too confining, slow, and awkward feeling. D&D fans might like it, if they can deal with the menu system and very strict rules, but the non-D&D crowd should avoid this one, as there are much better tactics games available.

Gameplay 6- there are times of enjoyment, and times of frustration. It should not take five turns swinging at a goblin just to get one hit.
Graphics 5- The monster models are... okay... and the 'core race' models are just downright ugly. Ive seen PS1 games with better texturing than this. The only good part about the graphics is the environments.
Sound 6- Not much in the game in the sound department.
Replay Value- 5 Low
Fun Factor- 7 Moderate- Possibly the game's only redeeming factor. Despite the many negative's I can think of about the game, I still find myself hooked sometimes. But you still will be much better off sticking to the table-top D&D, unless you really need a D&D fix on the go.

My Final Score- 5.8
