Yes the game has some small quirks and brakes from tradition, but the best part is the game is FUN!
First what it isn't:
- It isn't a simple point and click game like Titan's Quest, Torchlight, and Diablo.
- It isn't a near story-less game.
- The loot isn't as varied as other crawlers
- The game isn't quite as big (though quite sizable I think)
- It isn't a straight PC built game ( I know lots of people hate this)
- There aren't potions
- There currently isn't any key-mapping (coming soon)
- a game that simply maxes your stats
- A grind-fest
What it is:
- An active combat game
- A beautiful game with varied terrain (some disagree)
- The strongest story in a crawler
- A game that sounds terrific in all areas, weakest being speech, but still good
- An epic quest with a good amount of loot
- A game with various enemies that have their own tactics
- Lots of bosses!
- A game that grows on you
The first time I played the demo, I hated it! Soon I found myself playing the demo 3-4 mores times. I got used to the imperfect camera and controls and got sucked in, so I bought it. What a good choice that was!
The game is first and foremost FUN! Yes the reason I love it is because I have lots of fun playing it! Combat is fun, the atmosphere is great, and the enemies have diverse strategies. You want more then a diablo clone, and aren't terrified by some console influence, then give it a whirl!
