In 12 years, they could've done more. But what they've done is enough to bring the fun of Duke back to the players.

Duke Nukem Forever is a fun game to play, it's highly interactive and there's a lot of things to do with the Duke. You get to do this and that in everywhere, sometime you won't think that you can do this and that, like literally taking (The Duke doesn't pay) cans of soda, etc... by pressing the button without stopping and then drink it like the world is going to be invaded by aliens a minute later, or pop some popcorn with the microwave, or even.... but you should probably go find what to do by yourself, it's a lot of fun seeing Duke do these things. Maybe you should let him "Admire" himself and then hear his one liners?
To the gameplay, the bosses fight are great, fun and the music in battles is also good.
Other than the boss fights, the regular fighting the aliens is just like a normal walk in the park, nothing much to say.
Duke Nukem Forever brought a fun interactive gameplay and trilling boss battles but it lacks some in normal gameplay, like music, when you're fighting, there is music but when you're walking around, there's no music. But that's just depend on people, I think.
Duke Nukem Forever is as good as it is. Some flaws but not the worst.
