When I got this game, I lost my social life for a weekend!

There are many ways to find out if you love a game, or not.

Well, I found out that whenever I get pissed at a game, it means I really like it.

"Move out of the way grampa" ... "Move, you stupid a**" ... "You're in the middle of the street you moron!" ... "ARgggHhhH #@!" ... "MOOOOoooOooVE!!"

Above are reactions I've had when I bought Driver 2 Advance, which is a good thing! I can still remember my girlfriend screaming something like "Who the hell are you talking to?" ... "Oh nothing, the horn doesn't work in this game!!!"

Oh yeah, that's pretty weird... there's a horn in the game, but it's completely useless. Other cars don't care... at all! I'm pretty sure they're thinking "Oh, is that our neighbour !?!?"

* * *
So after reading the gamespot reviews on Driver 2 advance, I decided I needed a new GBA game, a good one to add to my collection, that I won't regret. What really cought my eye is the "feels like the playstation version of the game" (EVERYONE knows Driver on the playstation console, they can't be fooling around with this, it's a classic.)

I couldn't find the game at a local store, so I finally bought it on Internet... it's the GAME I wanted! Just a fun, challenging game to play when I have some free time on my hands. And this is where it all starts...

I really felt like a kid when I unwraped the box.... this is it, Driver 2 advance, THE pocket version of the playstation game - that feels excatly the same! Schlock! (that's the sound of me, inserting the game in my freshly recharged GBA)!

The rest is blurry, I don't really remember, my girlfriend says I said something like "GOD DAMNIT I GOT SCREWED!!". Oh it comes back to me, I turned the power on and started immediately an UNDERCOVER game!

...

Then the "GOD DAMNIT I GOT SCREWED!!" came out. The game was really slow, the graphics were, absolutely ugly... and I had the feeling I was missing a 256meg DDR RAM chip in my GBA. I turned it off, then went to bed mad as hell...

"I knew it, it's a stupid GBA - all the converted playstation games sucks..."

The next thing you know, it's friday night... I'm sitting down looking at my GBA. Then thought, ok I'll try it again! That's the moment where I fell in love with the game.

What freakin' awesome game! Seriously, this game is totally amazing. Once you start - you can't stop! It only takes a 'lil while to get used to it.

The missions are the same as the playstation (such as tailing cars....) the cops are there, the maps... jee - the story is good - everything... is there!

But there are some negative points:

- The graphics : Uhm.. how could I discribe... from far away, there's water everywhere...

- The jukebox... man the songs are awful. I always turn them off and leave my engine and sound effects on.

- Sometimes the guy you're chasing kills himself. Makes me laugh, but start over too :(

- Whenever the guy your tailing gets stuck in a traffic-jam, you need to start over... because he gets stuck... it's the only real bug I noticed (maybe he runs out of gas too!)

- You might want to close your eyes when your out of your car... cause man the little dude is ugly... it's a pixel boy! 4 blacks dots makes his legs! It looks like that kid in the paperboy game on the '85 NES!

- The biggest point is... darn, it's too short.... I really wish there was more missions, a longer story (cause it's weird how the story finishes) I hope Driver 3 will be the "suite"...

So overall, I have the game, I finished it within a weekend, I really had a great time (though I had a really bad first impression) and I will keep the game and never exchange it... I might want to start over again in a month!

Oh wait, it's driv3r in a month! woohoo!
