Nostalgia arcade gaming from the 80's

User Rating: 6.5 | Don Bluth Presents: Dragon's Lair Trilogy WII
I remember seeing this game when it first came out in arcade's way way back (I was about 7 or 8). I remember playing at the time Atari games, or arcade games like Star Wars (of which I found amazing at the time), so when I saw this game for the first time I immediately loved it (like pretty much almost everybody at the time). Only thing is I, for the best of me, couldn't play this game since I really, really s***ed playing it. Dind't really figure out how the controls worked.

Nostalgia aside now, bought this on Ebay when I saw it (didn't even know this game existed on the Wii). Played through the first 2 games (Dragon's Lair 1 & 2). Liked the fact they has an easy mode, in which it shows you what button or direction to press. As this game was hard when it came out in the arcade, with the help, it way too easy. I was able to beat the first game easily within the first hour of play. The second game wasn't as good as the first, but more difficult (the scenes last longer and you need to take more actions within the same scene, some of the scenes are too long for my taste). Didn't like the 3rd game.

Once you figure out how to control this game, it's just a question of timing your controls afterwards. What I liked is that they didn't revamp these games. What I disliked is the fact that it's too easy and short.

My rating for this game is 6.5 out of 10 because of nostalgic reasons. Put that aside, I'd probably rate this game 5 out of 10 (at the most). I'd recommend to play this (not buy) for everybody who played this back in the day and wanted to play it again. Rent if you can find it (improbable) or buy at a good discount.
