Dragon's Dogma has as much bad as it does good....

Dragon's Dogma is a mission based, dungeon crawler/open world, 3rd person action/rpg. In my personal experience I loved the combat in this game. Finding different pieces of armor and weapons to upgrade my character was always fun. The graphics and look of the game is like a spin-off of Dark Souls with old castles and a wide open world. Except in Dragon's Dogma you aren't so alone. You have pawn allies and there are towns in which there are alot of people walking about the streets like Assassin's Creed. Missions are over all fun to do and like I said the combat and skill system is the highlight of the game. Killing giant enemies with a huge sword is fun. Meanwhile you have your mages healing you and your archers shooting arrows and all that.
Here is the bad in Dragons Dogma. My main problem with this game is the god forsaken BACKTRACKING. Mark my words you will be ready to throw your controller at the t.v. You'll travel for like 30 min. to get to an area to either slay a monster, talk to somebody, or collect an item. Right when you complete the objective it's not truly done until you go back and report your mission success to the person who gave you the mission. Some of these area's you travel to are very very far apart and there are items that can take you back but they are rarities. Another problem was that there wasn't enough variety in enemy types. At first you'll be amazed by these badass monsters but after awhile of fighting the same exact creatures you'll realize that they could of put more enemies in this game.
All together though the combat is what keeps you coming back for more and this game is def. worth playing if you never played it before. Just be warned you will be spending countless hours walking from point a to point b and then back to point a through out the entire game.
