I played this game a while ago and figured now's as good as time as any to write a review. Dragon Quest 8 was one of my favorite games ever . Once I started playing I couldn't stop! Played for about a month straight only stopping to work, eat, sleep, and so on. If you want to just get finished you can in about 30 hours but to max out characters and get everything including bonus items and enemies you can easily put in over 100 hours. There is some grinding but it's fun the way they let you see the monsters that are more beneficial and still have randomly fight to makes for a fun mix. The world is huge and graphics are average but if you like other DQ games they are the best in series. There are tons of enjoyable characters to interact with and tons of different enemies to fight !!! The story is great and keeps you interested and like any good role playing game there are tons of items to collect, weapons to wield, spells to cast, and you can even capture enemies and fight them in a ring like wrestlers!!! I'm forgetting things that I should write but like I said it's been a while since I played I'm just commenting on my collection and starting with my favorites and this may very well be my numero uno!!!!!!!!! WELL OBVIOUSLY I CAN'T SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS GAME AND ANY ONE WHO DIDN'T HAVE THE CHANCE TO PLAY IT WHEN IT CAME OUT OR IS A RP FAN KNOW THIS IT IS WORTH PICKING UP STILL ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU CAN PROBABLY GET IT FOR 10 BUCKS OR LESS. 9.5 OUT OF 10 AND A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
