I rediscovered how fun this game is. In fact its better than Burst Limit on the Next Gen consoles.

First off the graphics are what you'd expect. The characters look good, the environments look okay and the attacks are done well.

As for the gameplay, you can fight without limitations. In the air, on the ground, underwater. You no longer fight a 2-D straight forward fight in a 3D world. You can fly anywhere in a big battleground. You have to lock onto your opponent before you can attack at times because the battle can start with both fighters on different sides of the map.

The modes, tournament, standard.
Ultimate battle, a 100 fighter ranking board in which you pick a fighter and climb the ranks as the opponents get stronger the higher you go up. Sometimes it dosent make sense, like fighting Super Saiyan 4 Goku ranked 17 and then fighting Krillin ranked 11. Plus Cell Jr. Ranks ahead of Gohan who actually disposes of them quickly in the series.

Z Battle Gate: Aka story mode. This touches on many sagas abviously the Saiyan Saga and ends at the Baby Saga which is pretty cool. But they can get redundant, like fighting the same opponent 4 times but with a different character. Gohan vs Nappa, next Picolo vs Nappa, Chiatzu vs Nappa, you get my point.
Also Atari butchers the story in each game, no significant cutscenes, horrible dialogue. Basically horrible. As you play through this mode you unlock fuzion items that can be power-ups or used to unlock characters. The roster in this game is very impressive, It has so many characters from the series as well as Janemba, Bojack, Bardock, and Brolly.

All in all this game is a great fighting game that any DBZ fan should have. I play as Majin Vegeta all day!
