The game is just too lame and poorly developed.

User Rating: 2.9 | Dragon Ball Final Bout PS
Dragonball GT Final Bout is a game with not only poor presentation but badly structured game play mechanics. This game marks the first time Dragonball went to 3D but also marks a dark day for BANDAI. Game Design: The game focuses on the cast of Dragonball GT. You will find environments from the TV series. I can’t say the graphics is top notch since the background is poorly made, even plain 2D games had better visuals, but since it was the first time BANDAI moved to 3D I could say they haven’t done a bad job, it’s just that the environments feel completely empty and deserted, there are no background interactions or anything. The character models are also very poorly designed, the animation is terrible and their pacing is incredibly slow and sluggish. What I do like about the game is the intro sequence and all the art works done on the menu screen, otherwise everything else is just unimpressive.

Game play: Most fighting games have always involved around a series of button mashing. However in this game, the game play mechanics and actions executed cannot be properly managed with button mashing, even simple movements will need a series of button mashing, and the worst is that the CPU can always easily execute these attacks with ease leaving you defenseless. For example most of the time you have to bash buttons until you perform a Kame Hame Ha, once executed you will most likely find that the CPU will counter it with another Kame Hame Ha blast and the 2 energies will collide and you will have to push buttons until you win the struggle, now if it were the CPU that first shot the blast you will have 1 second to be able to button mash your way until you can counter back with a blast which is impossible with these control schemes. Moving around is also an issue, characters move really slowly in the game and this keeps the fight from ever being exciting at all. Flying in the air makes the fight a lot worse, once you fly you will have to adjust your height in order to attack the enemy, but at the same time the CPU will also fly around to try to stay at your height, which becomes a complete disaster.

Sound: The music is really lame and is not a typical Dragonball tone. The English dubbing of the game was also poorly made, because the characters in the game are voiced by completely different people than in the TV series and they have really bad voice.

I’m not so sure whether it was copy right or the company just didn’t have enough money to properly produce the game or if they are just completely uncreative, in any case the game is just poorly structured and is by all means not fun or entertaining. Just like Gamespot said, this is a poor excuse of a fighting game.
