Extremely over-hyped, reasonably good game.

There is not a lot I want to say in this review. I'll preface by saying I played both of the KotOR games as well as NWN and feel... unimpressed to tell you the truth.

The good - voice acting, fully scripted conversations, interesting combat, NOT D&D universe, immersive. But, I have to say after playing all the Bioware games above and being a fan of RPGs I am really not blown away by this game. To me it really feels like NWN with a graphic overhaul. While your actions do impact the story, the overall choices in how you deal with a situation and how you can proceed in a conversation aren't much more than in the Old Republic games.

And while the tactical combat is fun, after about 40 hours it starts to get kinda repatative. I'll end with saying this is a good game, but its not the ground-breaking, genre defining game it is touted to be, at least not in my opinion. I MAY be able to force myself to finish it, I'm well past the 2/3 point, but once ME2 comes out I will likely jump ship.

But hey, you could just chalk this all up to me being burned out on fantasy games, which is entirely possible, so take it with a pinch of salt.
