It reminds me of Dragon Age 2 art work & all. Oh well lets see how different the story line is lol

You know, I think one thing Bioware has taught us is that it isn't DLC or F2P or DRM that is going to be the #1 killer of games...

It's deadlines. Here's to hoping they actually had enough time to care...

looks more like DA2. guess they don't give a damn what fans want. just another "more accessible for the masses" action game. :(

i dont give a damn about a new engine either, just want another great game like the original Dragon Age & all it's DLCs\expansion.

@elessarGObonzo I'd have to disagree, I think it looks more DAO than DA2. Admittedly I've only played about 20 hours of DA2, as opposed to hundreds in DAO/AW.

The menus looked a little more DA2, and though I liked DAOs menus more, it's not the end of the world. Besides I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they did something to make everything, including menus, NOT like DA2.

@Rat_King we can hope. just started a new character in Origins earlier this year, 1st time playing for a while. still one of the best games.

I wouldn't call DA2 horrible on its own, but when compared to DAO? yeah, pretty much so. In Deus Ex:HR they used a wheel that had actual dialogues and Jensen actually spoke them (and a bit more) which was waaay better than a mere "Wheel with three options" of DA2.

Main flaws of DA2 compared to DAO were the much small map, the complete apathy of NPC toward what PC was doing (in awakening if your fight dragged near guards, they would have joined in, in DA2? the useless incompetent twists would just stay as decorative things they were), the way everyone were ninja (and appeared from walls or just thin air) and fought in waves, the repetitive quests and overall simplification and dumbingdown of the game for keeds. Sure... the voice casters were better, but that was about IT.

Hope they actually listen to complains of the gamers and improve the game (more toward DAO hopefully)... characters wearing pretty dresses is all well and good, but in the end it's the story that makes a difference between a good game (DA2) and a truly great one (DAO).

@Fanglish What I don't get is how they could pull it off throughout 3  Mass Effects but fail miserably with DA2...

" players controlling castle in the game"  sounds like a strategy game like Heroes of Might and Magic.

yh as some of you have said , the old Dialog, and relationship meter bar, was what made me play DA O soo much !, and basically drew me into the bioware universe.

Great news about the engine, basically making current dragon age games look dated as if their ps2 hd.

But they really really need to find the balance between action and RPG. These have to standout.

Relationship and characterisation has to be at top level. And the story aswell. No more bland characters like in DA 2. I hope the new engine allows more innovation on character design and models. And i hope for origin style beginings, where we choose our characters.

I might be the first to say it. .... i wouldnt mind if bioware sacrifice the open world exploration , for more deeper RPG story , and decision making.

What made origins one of this gens best RPG.. was its story. and characters. And the universe. Such a shame that DA2 fell short.

Bring back the old dialog options, we don't mind reading what we are about to say. And kill that stupid circle dialog.

@raikiry In other words, bring back some old Bioware RPG love! :D

I'm almost positive the game will stink. Bioware at this point doesn't even want to make good games. They have had wonderful formulas for making great games, now their just tossing it aside and letting their egos take control, all the while blowing smoke up your ass.

This is Bioware's one chance to redeem themselves. If they drop the ball on this, they're done. They will lose all community respect and be 2 games, at most, away from going under. Or being bought by Blizzard/Activision...

At least, that's how I see it. This is sure as hell they're last chance for me! And that's only because I worship DAO...

Hope  they learned from Skyrim, that dragons can fly!!!

@archiasif Well technically in the DA world they do fly...they just didn't in the game, mostly for combat animation reasons.

With all the hours upon hours I put into DAO and the hours , drastically fewer hours, I put into DA2 I am looking forward to DA3 with cautious optimism.

@canis_rah Maybe it will be good, maybe it will stink. There's a glint of hope left, and let's hope for the best.
