Dragon Age 2, quite frankly... SUCKS.
You are not the grey warden in this game , nor do you EVER become one. You spend half the game doing errands for people to earn gold so that you can go to the deeproads on an expedition for treasure... when you finally get there its a short lived and extremely dissapointing trip down there.
The entire story lacks drive... big time... it seems that there is no 1 coherent point or story to the game but that its a long string of doing BS errands and non-cohesive missions that have nothing to do with one another.
There is NO contact and no anything with Morrigan and her God baby... absolutley nothing. Morrigan related story continuation is what we ALL expected after the ending of DA:O and they just blow it off like its nothing. They BETTER acknowledge her and that situation in the 3rd game.
Only at about the very end of the game does it make anything make any sense. The 1st 80% of the game is a complete waste... a story angle that starts after that is the only thing that sort of makes sense and ends in a way that sets the stage for a future Dragon Age game.
But like I said DA:Os ending cliffhanger was about Morrigan having a God baby and in DA:2 they didn't even acknowledge that AT ALL. So the entire ending of DA:2 may have absolutley nothing to do with DA:3 either and make what little bit of this game made any sense useless.
Another small thing is that you couldn't change your party members armor this time around , which takes some fun out of it.... The new way the talent trees were set up was inferior to DA:O as well.
I literally had to STRUGGLEand FORCE myself to play this game through to the end.. thats how bad it was.
Oh yeah , did I mention the final boss was a middle aged woman? One you don't even know about till the game is 90% over with. You know In Dragon Age : Origins you knew exactly who the last boss was from the 1st second... and it was a worthy last boss in that game... but in this one it was a JOKE.
Thats really bad considering DA:O was so good that I gladly played through it like 10X. But DA2 I struggled and forced myself to play through it just once and then traded it in.
