Missing what made Dragon Age:Origins so lively

I'll keep this review short and simple.

For me personally I actually am intrigued by the story, yes it's not as grand or sweeping as Dragon Age: Origins but I enjoy the new approach of simply watching the development of a single character over the period of a few years.

With that being said though, this development is rather underplayed due to the limitation the game places on you in regards to being able to speak to your followers only when you're in their "abode". And no longer able to speak to them at any time or about any given subject like you were in DA:O.

On top of this, the main thing that kills the game is the gameplay; it is the quintessential "Mash face against keyboard to win" game. I understand that many people didn't like the slow, tactical, strategic pace of DA:O, but Bioware went way too far in the opposite direction and instead left us with the equivalent of a button masher hack and slash, with only one button, and all of your abilities are on such long cooldowns that they hardly even play a role in your ability rotation.
