Double Dragon....I can recall wasting my quarters at the 7-Eleven and getting my butt handed to me time and time again by those nasty green Abobos. This is truly a game that stands the test of time--often imitated, but never duplicated. Now, for the first time in twenty years, we can finally experience the no-frills, arcade-perfect Double Dragon at home.

Being a new 360 owner, I was aware of Double Dragon being on the list of its XBLA game archive and immediately downloaded it as my first game. Everything's been ported over perfectly--exactly how I remember it. To sweeten the pot, there's also an enhanced mode which updates the graphics to take full advantage of high-definition. Needless to say, the HD update looks absolutely fantastic.

Ah, those Lee Brothers still know how to dance. You've got punches, kicks, jump kicks, headbutts and elbow smashes at your disposal, as well as the ability to grab an enemy's head, knee them several times in the face, then throw his behind like a football with its air sucked out. Believe me--few things are as satisfying as that!

If you remember Double Dragon, this game will take you back to the good old days of the 80s. The achievements are moderately challenging to get, but you will want to try and get them all. For newcomers, here's a chance to experience a piece of gaming history.
